We are Ohio Majority Radio

Ohio Majority Radio is a non-profit advocacy group, formed to support the Progressive/Liberal Talk radio format in Columbus Ohio. The group got the name “Ohio Majority Radio” because Progressive Talk is primarily from a Democratic point of view, and in 2006 – when OMR was formed – Democrats were proud to declare that they were the Ohio Majority political party.  The group formed as an outcome of the protest that the old Air America affiliate, WTPG 1230 AM, was changing formats in December 2006.
