WVKO has changed formats

WVKO AM has changed format from “Progressive Talk” to “Religious”, effective December 23, 2008, at 12AM ET. The station has been purchased, and the new owner chose to air Catholic Programming instead of Progressive Talk. We wish we could still be airing Progressive Talk, but the station was sold out from under us and there was nothing we could do. Now an entirely different group owns and is running WVKO 1580 AM.

This website (ohiomajorityradio.com), however, will continue to exist, as a service to the Central Ohio Progressive Community. The Progressive Talk advocacy group, Ohio Majority Radio, is continuing to administer this website, (1) to provide a webstream which airs your favorite Progressive talkers as well as national news and local weather, (2) to provide an archive of WVKO advertisers who still appreciate your continued support, (3) to continue as a repository for WVKO podcasts, and (4) to alert fans of Progressive Talk when your favorite shows return to the Central Ohio airwaves.
